Location: Arlington, Virginia

Job Type: Contract

Compensation Range: $38 - 42 per hour

We're seeking a talented and reliable Video Editor to support an established Video Team on a contract basis. This individual will primarily focus on short-form video content with quick turnarounds (typically 1-2 weeks). Projects may include re-editing existing footage, trimming videos to specific time requirements, and creating engaging social media clips.

Responsibilities:

Edit short-form video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Re-cut existing videos for various platforms including internal communications and social media.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal/Compliance and Internal Communications on video needs.
Assist in applying metadata tags to video assets within a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
Support metadata migration efforts during downtime in video production work.
Ensure all work aligns with storytelling best practices and brand guidelines.
Work efficiently and independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience editing short-form content using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
A portfolio that showcases recent examples of storytelling and narrative-driven video content.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and experience working in a remote team environment.
Experience with DAM systems for basic tasks like tagging and metadata input.
A reliable internet connection.

Skills:

Familiarity with Frame.io or similar video review platforms.
