What You'll Do
As the North America Sales Director for Medical Devices, you will be at the forefront of our mission to drive growth and establish a strong market presence in the medical device sector. In this role, you will lead a dynamic sales team, build and nurture customer relationships, and drive our sales strategy for minimally invasive and custom-manufactured medical devices. You will play a pivotal role in guiding your team to achieve targets, fostering long-term partnerships, and ensuring our innovative products meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients alike. We are looking for a passionate and experienced sales leader who is committed to making a significant impact in the medical device industry.
What We're Looking For
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Foster a collaborative and motivating environment, setting clear expectations and providing continuous feedback and support.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement robust sales strategies to expand market share for minimally invasive and custom-manufactured medical devices.
Identify and target key market segments, creating tailored sales approaches to meet the unique needs of each segment.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
Understand customer needs and work closely with internal teams to ensure satisfaction and successful delivery of solutions.
Collaborate with legal, business and leadership in the negotiation of supply agreements with customers
Market Analysis & Business Development:
Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and product development teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and product innovation.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Lead development of annual sales plan and long term forecast by site, customer and product SKU.
Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance data and market feedback to ensure continuous improvement and success
Skills That Make A Difference
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and achieving sales targets.
Strong understanding of the medical device market, particularly minimally invasive and custom-manufactured devices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Experience implementing sophistication improvements such as CRM, cadences, and metrics.
Ability to analyze, synthesize and make data based decisions
Travel as needed up to 75% to meet with customers, attend industry events, and collaborate with internal teams.
Skills That Will Put You Ahead
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
Experience in minimally invasive catheters, molded silicone parts, precision extruded thermoplastic tubes, assembly, and specialty silicone.
Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
