Description of Task to be Performed:
Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced System Administrator (SME) with a strong understanding of systems infrastructures to support a high priority work program. The successful candidate will have experience developing and maintaining systems, networks, and infrastructure within federal government environments and following Agile processes using the SAFe framework.

Key responsibilities include:
· Diagnosing and resolving complex system issues that may require in-depth analysis and creative solutions.
· Contributing to the design and implementation of new system architectures, including server configurations, network topology, and data storage solutions.
· Monitoring system performance metrics and identifying bottlenecks to optimize system efficiency and uptime.
· Implementing robust security measures, managing user access controls, and staying updated on emerging cyber threats.
· Forecasting future system needs and planning for hardware upgrades or infrastructure
· scaling to accommodate growth.
· Providing technical guidance and training to other system administrators on best practices and new technologies.

This position is mostly remote, but may potentially require occasional trips to our customer location in Clarksburg, WV.
Candidates must be able to travel to Clarksburg if needed. AnaVation will not compensate or reimburse for any needed
travel. Remote status is expected to continue, but is subject to change according to the direction of the customer.

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance to be considered as a candidate. If requested by the customer, the selected candidate must also have the ability to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: PhD or Master's degree. In lieu of degree, minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience required.
  • Experience: 9 years
  • Required:
  • Five years of experience with enterprise network administration tools.
  • Possess extensive understanding of specific operating systems, hardware, network protocols, security measures, and cloud technologies relevant to their organization.
  • Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems, including system configuration, shell scripting, and package management.
  • Advanced expertise in managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and related technologies.
  • Deep understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including cloud security and resource management.
  • Expertise in network infrastructure, routing protocols, firewalls, and network security.
  • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe.
