Preferred by Nature is looking for a full-time IT Specialist to join our global team and provide essential support across the Americas region. In this role, you'll assist with daily IT operations, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage Office365 tools, and contribute to system improvements all while supporting our global impact.
Location: Preferred location is Durango, Mexico. The role is remote, but the successful candidate should be based in or near Durango, as occasional visits to a shared office space may be required.
What You Can Expect:
As the IT Specialist, you will:
• Provide first-line support for IT issues (hardware, software, and network) across North, Central, and South America.
• Handle hardware orders and provisioning, including laptop setup and maintenance.
• Support users with Office365 (including account management, SharePoint, and Teams).
• Perform basic system admin tasks including user setup and permissions.
• Help maintain and update internal IT documentation.
• Assist the Salesforce team with basic admin tasks, such as user login troubleshooting, deletion requests, reports/dashboards, and template migration projects.
• Identify recurring technical issues and recommend solutions to improve internal systems.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues globally and provide occasional backup support to other regions when needed.
Your first year with us:

Within three months, you will:
• Get familiar with Preferred by Nature’s IT infrastructure, tools, policies, and documentation.
• Provide basic user support for hardware/software issues across the Americas region.
• Begin shadowing team members and supporting internal ticketing systems.
• Support with Office365 and basic Salesforce tasks (e.g., login issues, user support).
Within six months, you will:
• Independently manage hardware support and Office365 administration.
• Contribute to Salesforce tasks and assist with template migrations and automation.
• Take initiative on internal improvements and documentation updates.
Within one year, you will:
• Fully own IT support for the Americas region.
• Lead or co-lead a small Salesforce project.
• Collaborate on cross-regional support and global IT initiatives.
Important that you:
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent technical training/experience
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role
• Have proficiency with Microsoft Office365, SharePoint, Teams, and general troubleshooting
• Have strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Have ability to work independently and prioritize support tasks in a remote work environment
• Are based in (or near) Durango, Mexico, with ability to work remotely and visit the office as needed
Would also be great, but not necessary, if you:
• Have some experience or interest in Salesforce administration or reporting.
• Have worked in a global or cross-regional team.
• Have experience or interest in data integrations
