Dental Insurance Biller

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time with a 30-minute break included

Salary: $900 per month

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Insurance Biller to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately processing dental insurance claims, verifying patient benefits, and ensuring timely reimbursements from Medicaid and other insurance providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medicaid billing, working knowledge of dental insurance processes, and a deep understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and address denials or underpayments.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
  • Maintain patient billing records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
  • Provide support in posting payments, adjustments, and resolving billing inquiries.
  • Track claim status and ensure timely resubmissions as needed.
  • Prepare and send patient statements when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Medicaid billing is required
  • Familiarity with Medical or Denticall software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of dental codes, billing procedures, and insurance protocols
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and strong commitment to patient privacy
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in dental billing software and electronic claim submission
