About the Role

The Clinical Quality Specialist (CQS) is a go-to resource for Rula network therapists and Rula’s internal teams to offer guidance and direction on clinical and administrative issues that arise in telehealth private practice. The person in this role will be a valued member of the Clinical Quality team - Engaged in identifying knowledge and practice gaps based on quality indicators, hosting consult groups for network therapists, and executing one-on-one supportive improvement plans for providers who need additional support. The person in this role is expected to have a strong knowledge of clinical best practices, documentation best practices, and general principles that define high quality mental healthcare. By collaborating with a diverse group of clinicians from across the country, the CQS leans into supportive relational skills combined with a firm dedication to quality, in an effort to help therapists’ professional development as well as boost patient outcomes. 

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and an active unencumbered clinical license in any state (LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent)

  • 5+ years of licensed clinical therapy experience with a variety of populations

  • 2+ years in a private practice setting

  • Experience reviewing documentation with extensive knowledge of requirements in behavioral health as it relates to clinician’s ethical responsibilities, and commercial payor standards

  • Clinical documentation quality improvement, peer review, and/or clinical supervision background required

  • Supportive, respectful, and confident approach clinical consultations

  • Experience leading peer clinical consultation groups 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of CPT codes in behavioral health

  • Ability to work with Google Suite

  • Experience in a start-up environment

  • Extensive clinical knowledge specific to DSM diagnostics, use of measurement informed care, and licensing regulations
