POSITION PURPOSE

The eleHealth Operational Reporting & Data Analyst will contribute to the organization by identifying and solving problems through data analytics to provide insight and drive decisions within the organization. Responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand needs, gathering and querying data from various sources, and preparing reports.  Responsibilities also include analyzing data sets to identify patterns and trends as well as creating data visualizations and presenting insights to help translate high-level organizational problems into well-informed potential strategies and solutions.

  • This job reports to: Departmental Leadership
  • Necessary Contacts: The departmental leadership, and other divisions within BCBSLA.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Analytics and Business Administration or related degree preferred
  • Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience providing operational reporting required

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate PC skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and related software as other corporate software programs and applications.
  • Experience with Medicare Shared Savings Program/Value Based Programs preferred.
  • Must demonstrate verbal and communication skills with the ability to interpret and communicate information with tact, diplomacy, patience and professionalism.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to cohesively work in a team environment to ensure efficient and effective completion of all tasks assigned groups.
  • Ability to create tools and data models to aid in the visualization and/or monitoring of performance data (Dashboards, scorecards, etc.);
  • Ability to interpret patterns and trends in complex datasets

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Extracts, manipulates, and analyzes raw data from various sources, as well as developing insights to make business decisions that can reduce the cost of care for clinics and improve healthcare outcomes.
  • Independently pulls data, conducts analysis, prepares reports and presents insights into program performance
  • Audits internal reporting systems, vendor reporting and provider EMR reports for data validity and accurate attribution.
  • Manages provider/group updates in the CMS ACO Management System. Works with CMS Support IT and EMR vendor on resolving identified discrepancies
  • Participates in Quality Improvement initiatives and meetings, serves as SME for special projects, and participates in ongoing quality improvement
  • Executes projects, deliverables, and measurable results in the context of eleHealth’ s strategic enterprise goals collaboratively within the structure of the entire company
  • Attends webinars, workshops, and in-house sessions to receive updated quality reporting information and changes in requirements and/or regulations
  • Uses knowledge of HCC risk adjustment to review current procedures for improvement
  • Responds to data-related inquiries and provides reporting ad hoc for business operations.
  • Monitors recurring reports, gathers data, performs modifications on existing reports, and performs testing for business area to ensure an accurate and reputable process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
