Job Description Summary:

The Trade Compliance Services (TCS) Specialist assists with Customs compliance and other internal audits for Global Freight Forwarding. This position provides audit reports and training feedback to compliance management. The TCS Specialist also supports internal and external customers regarding Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other government agency compliance requirements, initiatives, technical requests, and communications.

This position supports TCS Compliance managers and supervisors to improve customer experience. The incumbent is instrumental in developing and running reports for management, statistics to analyze entry, classification, origin verification, risk management, and various customer specific compliance projects. They are also responsible for the development and implementation of new reports specific to the group.

Responsibilities

  • Helps prepare and distribute reports and statistics for the TCS team

  • Assists with tracking and trending compliance statistics

  • Develops new reports and statistics as needed for executive management

  • Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance

  • Supports the TCS team as needed

  • Develops and monitors operational quality goals and standards to meet specifications

  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of customs brokerage

  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree)

  • Customs Broker License

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years brokerage experience in any aspect of customs business - Required

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel - Required

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail

  • Job Grade: 10D  

  • This is a remote position

  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm ET

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $49,712.00/year to $92,040.00/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
