HR People/Business Partner

RKD Group, a direct response marketing and advertising agency, is seeking an HR People/Business Partner to work under the remote supervision of the HR Director. 

The HR People/Business Partner (HRPBP) plays a key role in aligning business objectives with employees and management across designated business units, with a strong emphasis on resource and talent management. This role partners closely with leadership in Business Applications, Creative, Data & Analytics Reporting, Data Management, Data Software Development, Data Solutions, Digital, Digital/Media Operations, Digital/Media Strategy, Direct Mail Production, Direct Mail Strategy, Informational Technology, List Strategy, and Production/List to drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee development, and overall resource optimization.

The HRPBP formulates strategic partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services that enhance workforce efficiency and engagement. A deep understanding of business operations, technology, data-driven decision-making, and industry competition is crucial to supporting the growth and success of these departments.

Requirements:

  • Partners with leaders in Business Applications, Data & Analytics, Digital, IT, Direct Mail, and Creative teams to assess workforce needs, develop talent strategies, and support evolving business objectives.
  • Implement HR initiatives that support technology-driven departments, with a focus on workforce planning, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Analyze HR metrics to support talent management initiatives, including succession planning, upskilling, career development, and workforce optimization across digital, data, and production teams.
  • Design and facilitate training programs tailored to technical and creative teams to enhance employee skills, support digital transformation, and ensure smooth adoption of changes.
  • Coach managers and department leaders to optimize team performance, navigate change, and foster a culture of innovation in data, IT, and creative sectors.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness, monitor employee development outcomes, and implement change-management strategies specific to data-driven and digital environments.
  • Support HR programs focused on equity in compensation, role standardization, and career progression for employees across technical and creative fields.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and best practices while adapting HR solutions to fit the unique needs of digital, IT, and production teams.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives and HR functions.

Experience required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably supporting technology, data, digital, IT, or creative teams.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, compensation structures, performance management, and employee engagement strategies tailored to technical roles.

Experience preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and workforce optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong partnerships with leaders in digital, data, IT, and creative teams.
  • Proven experience in talent management, leadership development, and retention strategies for fast-evolving industries.
  • Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and employment laws while adapting best practices to technical and creative business functions.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to organizational challenges in digital, IT, and production environments.
  • Proficiency in HR analytics tools and Microsoft Office Suite. 

Location: Remote, preferably CST zone.

Pay Range expected for the position: $80,000-$90,000 annually.

(The position level and compensation for this role will be determined based on the market location, experience, job skills, and qualifications of the candidate)
