Job description

Our client is seeking a visionary Director of Community-Driven Innovation to lead their initiatives focused on enhancing community engagement and fostering innovative solutions rooted in community needs. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between their organization and the communities we serve, ensuring that their projects are responsive to local challenges and opportunities.

As the Director of Community-Driven Innovation, you will develop strategies that prioritize collaboration, engagement, and empowerment within the community, harnessing local insights to drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative community engagement strategies that promote collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Establish partnerships with community stakeholders, organizations, and leaders to enhance program outreach and effectiveness.
  • Conduct needs assessments and research to identify community challenges and opportunities for innovation.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the organization to support community-driven initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute projects that align with community priorities.
  • Evaluate the impact of initiatives and adjust strategies based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Advocate for community interests within the organization and at public forums.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Community Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in community engagement, innovation, or program management roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading community-driven initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of community dynamics and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Experience in project management and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and drive innovative solutions.
