As Finalis continues to rapidly grow, we seek a Sales Account Executive to join our Growth Team. As a Sales Account Executive at Finalis, you will be responsible for leading and closing sales opportunities. The Sales Team is at the core of Finalis’ business, and is responsible for fueling the various sales initiatives across Finalis — including launching new business lines, expanding to global markets, and using data analytics to assess the company’s sales performance.


✹ What will you be doing?

You are expected to understand Finalis’ business model. Knowledge of the finance, investment banking & private equity industries will be key to understanding the industry we operate in and you will have to be proactive, take ownership, and effectively marshall internal and external resources with a minimum level of supervision across challenging situations. You are expected to manage a wide range of tasks oriented around a singular mission of driving the firm’s new annual recurring revenue (ARR) leading to Finalis becoming the world’s largest dealmaking platform.

At its core, this growth will require bringing the platform to the center of the sales process by ensuring that Finalis drives sales at high velocity and low cost more akin to a software company than a services company. You are expected to manage robust and effective working relationships with other key Finalis managers, employees, and consultants. You have an ambitious scope of responsibilities and to achieve them with excellence you will need to effectively marshall internal and external resources proactively and with minimal direction or oversight, applying the correct judgment (which extends to the judgment to communicate succinctly and positively involving your colleagues when necessary). 

This position is focused on five main objectives:

  • Developing and owning a sales pipeline including Finalis’ core product lines including Work Flow, Connect, and Ledger across all customer cohorts.

  • Communicating Finalis’ value proposition to the Company’s prospective customers and users

  • Identifying, negotiating and closing prospects

  • Cultivating an intimate understanding of the Finalis sales process, and develop resulting analytics and insights to advance sales opportunities

  • Setting the sales pace for the growth team and the broader Finalis organization 

Your day-to-day tasks will vary broadly, and will generally include:

  • Take ownership over the entire sales funnel -- from prospecting to closing -- and then effectively handling the new customer off to the Customer Success team. This will require your effective coordination across Finalis, in particular the account management and delivery teams.

  • Ideating and substantiating new business lines, pricing strategies, and market trends to enable the Company’s future revenue growth.

  • Continually manage and improve upon existing sales automations, sales systems (including the CRM), email and LinkedIn campaigns by levering the Finalis sales team. Understanding the current pain points & weaknesses of our systems and processes is a must to be able to increase our capabilities to generate new sales calls.

  • Developing, maintaining, and reporting on KPIs to inform trends in the sales process and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. You are expected to develop Finalis’ sales team into a data-driven operation. 

  • Lead future Market Sizing & Competitive Landscaping processes in connection with the Company's international expansion, especially in Countries with similar securities regulations (e.g.: UK & Canada). 

  • Manage and grow the Finalis sales organization, supported by HR. This includes managing Finalis’ current and future sales operations analysts, identifying gaps and making new hires, as appropriate, and developing exciting career paths for members of your team.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in selling technology solutions to organizations with a proven history of exceeding sales targets

  • Experience with Salesforce (preferred but not required)

  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment, alongside an uncanny attention to detail

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English

  • Experience and passion for metrics and dashboard visualizations

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Innately curious and proactive (Not afraid to challenge the status quo)

  • Unafraid to run with an idea with little to no direction

  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally
