Job Title: Director of Business Development & Solutions Services

Supervisor: SVP of Revenue

Department: Sales

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000, based on qualifications and experience (Plus additional variable compensation)

Job Summary:

The Director of Business Development & Solutions Services will play a critical role in driving strategic customer engagements from presales to Customer Success, leading the Value Engineering, Solutions Implementation and Solutions Architect teams, and developing robust business value frameworks for TraceGains’ SaaS solutions. 

 

This individual will lead the Solutions Services organization to deliver value and solutions discovery workshops, develop and support sales with creation of data-driven ROI business cases and customer proposals, delivery of implementation and onboarding services, and the creation and management of a scalable and revenue-driving global professional services organization, focusing on delivery of customer data migration, systems integrations, and custom reporting solutions. 

 

This is a global, remote role requiring travel to engage with enterprise customers and drive business development initiatives. 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead & Develop the Solutions organization

  • Manage, build, and develop a global Solutions organization, including Value Engineering, Solutions Implementation and Solutions Services teams.
    • Value Engineering: Support sales and revenue teams, net new and expansion across all segments, with value workshops to uncover key business challenges, map current and future state processes, quantify business value, creation of data-driven ROI business cases, proposals for new customers, as well as working with Customer Success with evaluation and validation of current customer value delivered and potential expansion opportunities.
    • Solutions Implementation: Support customers with implementation of their solutions, ensuring a successful onboarding, accelerated time-to-value (TTV), and efficient and effective handoff to Customer Success.
    • Solutions Architects: Support customers with professional services focusing on enterprise-level data migrations, systems integrations and custom reporting solutions, including discovery workshops, creation of Statement of Works (SOWs), design/development, deployment, testing and go live, documentation and handoff of solutions to support. Also supporting Partners integrations and development. 

 

Individual Value Discovery & Customer Engagement

  • Lead structured workshops with enterprise customers to uncover key business challenges and required value data, map current/future state processes, and quantify business value.
  • Develop comprehensive ROI models and business cases to justify larger SaaS and professional services investments.
  • Partner with Sales & Customer Success to drive account expansion and enhance customer adoption of TraceGains solutions. 

 

Professional Services Expansion

  • Establish and scale a professional services team, with a focus on expanding implementation capabilities in leveraging Veralto’s global infrastructure.
  • Define and execute best practices for data migration, system integration, and enterprise software deployment.
  • Oversee the development of standardized processes for seamless data migration and system integration across multiple platforms, including ERP, PLM, and supply chain systems.
  • Expand custom reporting capabilities using primarily Microsoft BI, enabling customers to gain deeper insights from their data.
  • Help Develop Quick Start packages deployed by TraceGains customer success managers that accelerate implementation and ensure long-term adoption of TraceGains solutions. 

 

Customer Advocacy & Thought Leadership

  • Work with Marketing to develop case studies and customer success stories that highlight ROI-driven outcomes and value delivery.
  • Represent TraceGains at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements, positioning the company as a thought leader in compliance, ESG, and networked ingredient solutions. 

 

 

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, professional services, value engineering, or solution consulting within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
  • Proven ability to conduct business value assessments and develop ROI-driven business cases.
  • Expertise in workshop facilitation for enterprise customers, driving solution alignment and adoption.
  • Experience building and scaling professional services teams globally.
  • Strong understanding of data migration, system integration, and implementation best practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft BI and custom reporting development.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to be a positive team player, willing to grow and change.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for global customer engagements.
