We are looking for an Architectural Designer to create high-quality designs and architectural drawings for residential projects. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong understanding of construction principles, particularly light-framed timber construction, and proficiency in ArchiCAD. This role is critical for producing detailed building consent documentation and ensuring designs meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
Tasks & responsibilities
Meet with clients to understand the brief.
Measure up sites and produce designs with 3D renders.
Produce building consent documentation for council submission
Lodge building consents and respond to RFIs.
Leasie with consultants
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience producing quality designs and architectural drawings for residential projects.
3-5+ years' experience as an architectural technician / designer.
Preferably with good knowledge of New Zealand Building Code experience / NZ construction particularly light framed timber construction and NZS3604. Willing to entertain those with good knowledge of Australian Building Code experience.
Had worked primarily with residential projects.
Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent.
A good knowledge of ArchiCAD.
Excellent PC skills and experience in using a range of cloud-based programs.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Enthusiasm for contributing to a fun and dynamic team environment.
