Key responsabilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable database architectures using various database technologies.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for provisioning and managing database resources in Azure.
  • Analyze database performance metrics and logs to ensure high availability and performance, providing troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for database deployments, ensuring automated testing and integration.

I am a Talent Attracting Analyst looking for people located in Brazil for a Mid Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to join our global team. As a Mid Level DBRE, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable database systems in cloud environments, primarily on Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high availability of our database services, with a strong focus on automation, performance optimization, and security.



Responsibilities:

Database Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable database architectures using CosmosDB, MongoDB, Redis, Storages and PostgreSQL; Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through best practices and regular maintenance.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage database resources in Azure.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Analyze database performance metrics and logs using Azure Monitor and other observability tools (e.g., New Relic) to ensure high availability and performance; Provide troubleshooting support for database-related issues and proactively resolve potential bottlenecks.

Automation: Create and maintain automation scripts in Shell or Python to streamline database operations and maintenance tasks.

CI/CD Pipelines: Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for database deployments, ensuring automated testing and integration.

Security & Access Management: Manage and monitor access controls and credential management for database environments in Azure, ensuring compliance with security standards.


Requirements for this challenge:

Experience in a Database Reliability Engineer or similar role with a focus on cloud database systems, specifically Azure.
Proficiency in managing and optimizing database technologies, particularly CosmosDB, MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps, as they relate to database deployments.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
Intermediate/advanced English.


Nice to have:

Deep knowledge of CosmosDB/ MongoDB/Postgres/Redis architecture and best practices for microservices.
Experience with credential management and access controls within Azure environments.
