Remote position in Mexico
The Project Coordinator is responsible for financial management of both internal and outsourced projects from initiation through closure in partnership with Project Manager. This role supports project approval activities, manage day-to-day operation of approved budget to ensure project is delivered under/on budget, and project closure activities within a portfolio, in adherence to Hershey's Financial Policy.
Responsibilities / Outcomes
Project Approval: Lead development of project budget and project approval process in partnership with Product Manager
Financial Management: Manage day-to-day operation on project budget, including reconciliation of Clarity, S/4 and project tracker. Report financial status to Product Manager.
Project Closure: Manage final postings to S/4, complete financial-related activities
Scope (Key Deliverables)
Project Write-up: A comprehensive document outlining the project's scope, objectives, timeline, resources, and budget
S/4 Internal Order (IO) / WBS: creation of IO/WBS post project approval, closure of IO/WBS during project closure
Project Budget Tracker: Initiate and manage budget tracker to ensure proper reconciliation of forecast, actuals against Clarity and S/4 systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Project Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, enabling the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. This includes proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate project goals, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels. This includes the ability to facilitate meetings and present project updates clearly.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Proficiency in identifying potential project budget risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This requires analytical skills to foresee issues and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Performance Analysis: Capability to monitor and analyze project budget performance using key metrics and data.
Experience & Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably within the technology or consumer packaged goods industry. Proven track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion, specifically focusing on budget management. Experience with both internal and outsourced project delivery is highly desirable.
