Key responsabilities:

  • Support the integration of AI into Semantic Interoperability and propose production solutions.

  • Provide technical support for Interoperability Assessment data modelling activities and the SEMIC toolchain.
  • Assist in the creation of blog posts and the organization of SEMIC webinars and workshops.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior IT Expert who will:

  •       Support activities related to integrating AI into Semantic Interoperability focusing on exploration and proposing production solutions under AI@EC initiatives, particularly regarding agentic AI. 

  •       Coordinate the implementation of the Semantic Registry of Data Models on the EU Open Data portal in conjunction with the Publications Office of the European Union. 

  •       Support the SEMIC support to EU policies, and provide technical support for Interoperability Assessment data modelling activities, SDGR/OOTS, and interoperability in Data Spaces, 

  •       Provide support on the SEMIC toolchain, with benchmarking, and identifying open-source solutions to support data modelling activities. 

  •       Oversees and check semantics activities entrusted by the Interoperability programme in DEP to other services in semantics such as the Publication Office. 

  •       Support the formalisation, integration, and Member States adoption of Linked Data Event Streams (LDES) as a SEMIC specification, ensuring alignment with existing standards and EU data strategies.

  •       Assist in the continuous improvement and implementation support for DCAT-AP, including providing guidance to Data paces on adopting the profile and assist in creating additional sub-profiles where necessary. 

  •       Be actively involved in the creation of blog post publications on modelling approaches and practises.  

  •       Involvement in organisation and implementation of SEMIC webinars and workshops

TECHNOLOGIES AND SKILLS:

  •       Minimum Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies

  •       Minimum 8 years experience in Semantic methodologies, Semantic transformation, Metadata modelling, Linked data

  •       Minimum 8 years experience in OWL, RDF, SKOS, XML, shacl

  •       Proven work experience with machine learning and AI models in particular new trends working on agents. 

  •       Very good written and oral communication skills, proven by talks and/or publications in the technical field of the competition.
