Job Description

The Project Manager II is responsible for managing small to medium projects and contributing to components of larger initiatives, with guidance and support from senior project managers. This role develops and executes basic project plans, including estimations, and ensures adherence to project parameters and quality standards. The PM II applies fundamental project management principles while effectively communicating with team members and stakeholders. This individual is eager to develop their project management skills in a collaborative environment, demonstrating a proactive approach, a willingness to learn, and a talent for building positive working relationships.

  • Project Management: Manage small to medium, less complex projects and contribute to specific tasks within larger projects, working with virtual and cross-functional teams. 

  • Project Planning & Estimation: Develop project plans, including goals, schedules, and resource allocation, and conduct project estimations with guidance and support. 

  • Project Execution & Coordination: Coordinate project tasks, ensuring alignment with basic project plans and contributing to project goals, with support as needed. 

  • Change Management: Manage minor project changes, ensuring basic documentation is kept up-to-date, with oversight from senior team members. 

  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Gather and document basic stakeholder requirements and assumptions, with assistance from senior team members. 

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor project progress and report on basic project metrics, with support for analysis and reporting. 

  • Process Contribution: Contribute to discussions on project management processes and participate in basic project retrospectives. 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with internal stakeholders and contribute to positive working relationships. 

  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in team collaboration and contribute to a positive project environment. 

  • Vendor Support: Assist in vendor communication and coordination as needed. 

  • Resource Management: Track project resources, including basic budget and time tracking, with guidance. 

  • Risk & Issue Management: Assist in identifying and escalating potential project risks and issues, with support for resolution. 

  • Communication: Adapt communication styles to suit the audience, demonstrating a willingness to ask clarifying questions. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Two (2) years of experience in a project-related role. 

 

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES 

  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or similar entry-level certification is preferred. 

 

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Basic understanding of project management principles, including estimation techniques. 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Proficiency in basic project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, basic PPM tools). 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. 

  • Ability to pass a required background check. 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field. 

  • Project experience in a related field. 

  • Eagerness to learn and develop project management skills.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level.  Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.  Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

  • We anticipate the salary range to be $69,492.75 - $111,140.40This is a temporary/contractor role and you will be an employee of Randstad. Randstad considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Randstad offers employees a robust benefits package, including medical, dental and vision.
