Job description

Product Owner

We seek a Product Owner with strong SaaS product management expertise to lead the evolution of our CPQ product portfolio. This role is critical for candidates who thrive on managing and enhancing existing software—not just building new solutions. You’ll bridge strategy and execution, ensuring our products deliver continuous value through iterative improvements, customer-driven updates, and scalable maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Product Evolution:
    • Manage and prioritize the backlog for existing SaaS products, balancing feature enhancements, technical debt, and customer-driven improvements.
    • Translate long-term product strategy (defined by Product Managers) into actionable engineering deliverables.
  • Drive SaaS Excellence:
    • Lead agile processes (sprint planning, retrospectives) to deliver high-quality releases aligned with SaaS best practices.
    • Collaborate with engineering to modernize legacy systems, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Customer-Centric Execution:
    • Advocate for user needs in every development cycle, ensuring solutions solve real-world pain points.
    • Create and maintain critical documentation (user guides, release notes) to support adoption and transparency.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Align stakeholders (engineering, sales, support) on priorities, trade-offs, and progress.
    • Resolve customer issues with a focus on continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in product ownership/management, specifically for SaaS products.
  • Proven experience managing and evolving existing software (not just greenfield projects).
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, backlog prioritization, and translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of balancing competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CPQ, ERP, or enterprise software (manufacturing industry knowledge is a plus).
  • Certifications in Agile/Scrum (CSPO, SAFe).
  • Familiarity with UX principles and SaaS/cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
