Job description

This is a remote position.

We’re searching a Senior Network Engineer for a leading proprietary trading firm that specializes in high-frequency algorithmic trading. Established in 2010, the company provides professional market-making services and operates on a global scale with a strong presence in emerging markets. With an infrastructure of over 100 top-tier servers, the firm prioritizes low-latency and scalable solutions, offering cutting-edge trading technologies.

The team is focused on expanding into both traditional asset classes and cryptocurrencies, while maintaining a commitment to technological innovation and rigorous market analysis. The company operates in key financial hubs such as Switzerland, the Netherlands, Dubai, and Cyprus, supporting its global trading activities.

 

 

  • Identify, design and implement network optimizations
  • Automate and eliminate manual elements of our network infrastructure;
  • Assist with planned upgrades and maintenance (migrations, expansions, hardware and software upgrades);
  • Contribute to capacity planning, connectivity improvements and traffic flow optimization;
  • Perform related practical tasks in the data center

 

Requirements:
  • Passionate about network performance, monitoring & capacity planning;
  • Confident with a variety of network monitoring and alerting tools;
  • Experience with LAN and WAN technologies;
  • In depth experience with network transport & routing protocols (TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast);
  • Comfortable working in a multi-vendor environment (Cisco/Arista/Juniper/Huawei).
  • Experience with network security and firewalls;
  • Confident with Python scripting for automation;
  • Experience with low-latency networking, configuration management tooling functions, time series databases and centralized logging solutions are beneficial, but not required.
