Job description


Reporting to the Vice President of Solutions, the Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant (SE) will play a key role in selling world-class IP products and services. The SE will be responsible for the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including product demonstrations, requirement discussions, RFP fulfillment, and technical follow-ups. Acting as a bridge between sales, product development, and clients, the SE will support the sales team in achieving their annual sales targets. This role requires the ability to effectively present technical information to different audiences, collaborate closely with Sales Managers, and travel as needed. This is primarily a remote role, with work-from-home flexibility anywhere in the USA.


Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with outside sales representatives to maximize revenue and meet sales targets.
  • Provide technical sales support before, during, and after client meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations for prospective clients.
  • Contribute to technical sections of RFIs (Request for Information) and RFPs (Request for Proposal).
  • Act as a liaison between Product Management and Engineering, sharing insights from sales discussions.
  • Identify customer pain points and propose tailored solutions using MaxVal’s IPMS (Intellectual Property Management System) software and SaaS offerings.


Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer or similar role.
  • Proven ability to demo IPMS software and/or SaaS products.
  • Experience working with customers and providing excellent service.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and IP domains along with technology/SaaS solutions.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and client qualification skills are essential.
Educational Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Alternatively, a BA with deep IP or legal experience.
