Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12pm to 4pm Huntington, WV time

Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team in a part-time capacity. This role offers the perfect blend of traditional bookkeeping and modern financial management, utilizing cutting-edge tools like QuickBooks and automated expense tracking systems. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and providing insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities
  • Manage comprehensive bookkeeping operations using QuickBooks
  • Process and reconcile weekly billing cycles for the fleet
  • Organize and allocate expenses, maintenance costs, and receipts to specific trucks
  • Handle payroll processing and documentation
  • Monitor and track fuel card transactions across the fleet
  • Create and maintain organized filing systems for financial documentation
  • Generate weekly financial updates and reports
  • Track and analyze profit/loss metrics
  • Manage email organization for billing documents and rate confirmations
  • Reconcile and organize transportation-related documentation
  • Provide regular financial insights to support business decision-making


Requirements

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks and basic accounting principles
  • Strong English communication skills with ability to articulate financial concepts clearly
  • Demonstrated payroll processing experience
  • Excellence in organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive communication style with confidence to ask questions and seek clarification
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
  • Experience with transportation or logistics industry preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in digital file organization and management
  • Availability during U.S. Eastern time zone business hours
