Senior Estimating Manager (Avangrid Power, LLC f/k/a Avangrid Renewables, LLC, Portland, OR):
Manage team of estimators producing CAPEX estimates/forecasts for major Avangrid Renewable projects and review and approve CAPEX estimates/forecasts prepared by estimators. Participate in Avangrid’s project risk management and quantification process. Develop and maintain estimating and forecasting models for major projects. Present project and portfolio forecasts to Avangrid Renewables senior management, prepare projects for Financial Investment Decision working closely with Iberdrola management. Review proposal specifications to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Conduct project site visits with Avangrid Management, potential contractors and engineering firms. Review cost reports from completed/existing projects. Adhere to effective internal controls.
100% telecommuting permitted. Candidates may reside and work anywhere in the U.S.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor related work experience in renewable plant construction, production, or operations; OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, and 3 years related work experience in renewable plant construction, production, or operations.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
Utilizing Python and Anaconda;
Quantitative risk analysis;
Working for an Owner/Operator organization in electrical generation;
Renewables estimating experience in utility scale wind, solar, and EPC projects for both conceptual and mid to late stage maturing estimates;
Developing and refining work breakdown structure and cost breakdown structure;
Value engineering and alternatives analysis; and
Battery storage estimating and technology.
Domestic travel required up to 25%.
