General Overview 

The Director, Product is the customer experience expert for programs and products, driving critical interdepartmental coordination and product delivery outcomes. They will translate business needs into actionable product features, manage the product lifecycle, and collaborate with internal teams to implement strategy and leverage customer insights for continuous improvement. Reporting to the VP Innovation and Strategy, this role plays a key part in developing and executing the product vision and roadmap and ensuring a high level of customer acquisition, retention and innovation.  

Expected Outcomes 

Develop and Execute the Product Vision and Multi-Year Roadmap (55%) 

  • Align product strategy with EOS’ long-term growth objectives, ensuring EOS’ digital products are user-centered and accessible.
  • Ensure digital initiatives integrate seamlessly with the EOS’ operational model and product delivery.
  • Prioritize and manage a roadmap that balances innovation with operational feasibility.
  • Identify new ways to merge technology and in-person experiences to maximize customer lifetime value and operational capacity.
  • Leverage EOS’ unique capabilities to create differentiated offerings for customers.
  • Drive innovation informed by market trends to drive innovation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on customer experience, supported by real-time data.
  • Influence and shape the C-suite’s strategic thinking on product opportunities which emerge from existing programmatic delivery and which directly or indirectly support EOS’ mission.
  • Advocate for customer-centric product improvements that further EOS’ mission.

 

Partner with Other Teams for Effective Execution (45%) 

  • Translate business requirements into actionable development tasks and clear projects.
  • Work closely with educational internal leaders, engineers to ensure seamless execution of the product vision, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
  • Implement robust impact processes to measure program and product satisfaction. 
  • Partner with operations, marketing, and other teams to ensure solutions that enhance EOS’ services and products 
  • Align product initiatives with broader company objectives and brand positioning.
  • Support product rollout with best practices and ensure high-quality support for customers in real-time.

 

Required Qualifications 

  1. Product Strategy & Execution Experience
    • Proven experience developing and executing a multi-year product roadmap aligned with organizational growth goals.
    • Demonstrated ability to balance innovation with operational feasibility.
  2. Customer-Centric Product Leadership
    • Deep understanding of user-centered design and creating accessible digital experiences.
    • Experience using real-time data to improve customer experience and influence executive-level strategy.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • History of working with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to execute and deliver products.
    • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable tasks for cross-functional teams.
  4. Mission-Driven Mindset
    • Experience working in mission-driven or impact-focused organizations, with a demonstrated commitment to equity and accessibility.
  5. Measurement and Impact
    • Experience implementing impact measurement systems to evaluate customer and program satisfaction.
  6. Strong Communication Skills
    • Ability to influence and advise eaders, including shaping strategy through product insight.

  1. Education Sector Experience
    • Familiarity with K-12 or higher education ecosystems and the challenges faced by schools, educators, and students.
  2. Hybrid Product Experience
    • Experience developing blended solutions that combine in-person and digital experiences.
  3. Growth Stage Experience
    • Experience scaling products and teams in a growth-oriented organization.
  4. Technical Fluency
    • Understanding of product development processes, including Agile methodologies, user testing, and analytics tools.
  5. Innovation Portfolio Management
    • Ability to drive innovation by identifying and evaluating emerging market trends, particularly in tech-enabled services.
  6. Brand & Product Integration
    • Experience aligning product development with broader brand strategy and market positioning.

Travel Requirements/Expectations: 

  • This job may require travel, including out-of-state travel, up to 10% of the time.
  • A valid background check is required

We ask staff to provide availability between 10-2 in their respective time zones to allow for collaboration and support.
