Pay Scale: $47,000.00-$55,000.00 + competitive discretionary bonus, based on individual and team results

Position Summary:

We are looking for driven, results-oriented M&A Business Research Analysts who are passionate about delivering high-quality insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a mature self-starter who works well both independently and within a team environment.

Success in this role requires strong business acumen, solid research skills, and technical proficiency. You should be comfortable with some level of repetitive work while maintaining accuracy and focus. The ability to distill qualitative information, think critically, and communicate clearly is essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical environment, and wants to grow their career in M&A and strategic research.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis of prospective targets and industries using secondary source research methods to determine trends and support deal development.
  • Experience conducting primary research highly preferred.
  • Facilitate business relationships between capital institutions and business owners on our tech platform.
  • Analyze qualitative data to uncover industry, company, and customer trends.
  • Prepare industry briefs and presentations supporting deal development.
  • Develop and maintain competitive assessment of key acquisition targets.
  • Communicate our analytical services to new potential clients.
  • Develop in-depth case studies, white papers, and ad hoc research reports.
  • Act as a liaison between the data analytics and capital team.
  • Support team on various research projects, as needed.
  • No financial modeling or pitch decks required for this role.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree from accredited program in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university required. 
  • 1-2 years minimum related work experience within M&A, private equity, wealth management, consulting or related industries highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Professional report creation.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools.
  • Experience with programming tools (Python, Tableau, R, PANDAS, etc) highly preferred.
  • Solid business acumen with passion for business development.
  • Strong problem solver, able to think creatively and strategically.
  • Professional, polished communication skills and demeanor.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
