  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance finance operations and standardize workflows.

Job description

Position Overview

RecruitGo is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant based in the Philippines to join our finance team and play a key role in driving financial integrity, governance, and performance across our operations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial insights and improvements.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement (10%)

  • Support and contribute to a high-performing financial control team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize high-impact financial projects and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communicate financial performance and insights clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to support team development.
     

General & Technical Accounting (15%)

  • Manage all aspects of financial control including reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and cash flow.
  • Assist with monthly Board Pack preparation and review.
  • Prepare and analyze annual financial statements across multiple entities.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and forecasting.
  • Support treasury operations, including debt management and foreign currency transactions.
  • Work with external advisors on tax compliance and planning.
  • Partner with cost and profit centre managers to drive financial performance.
     

Financial Governance (15%)

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting accuracy.
     

Process Improvement & Standardisation (15%)

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance finance operations.
  • Standardize workflows and incorporate industry best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements: 

  • Experience working with Australian clients and knowledge of local compliance standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a multi-site or high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities to clearly present financial information.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Hands-on approach with expertise in financial analysis, statement preparation, and reconciliation.
