Role
Global Trade Compliance Specialist will provide support to ensure that AMD operations in Europe comply with all applicable US, EU, and national export controls in each country it has operations, together with customs compliance at all points of entry in EU. The successful candidate will partner closely with the broader Global Trade Compliance team, plus Logistics partners, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and any applicable regulatory agencies. The successful candidate should good understanding of export and customs procedures, have a strong focus record retention, and be capable of working with team members across different countries and time zones.
Responsibilities
Experience with Global Trade systems in ERP environment
Work closely with customs brokers in DE, CZ and NL to provide master data management support.
Oversee export processes to ensure properly licensed, origin marked, classified, and valued
Prepare and submit export licence applications to CZ export authorities.
Manage Global Licence for exports of export-controlled items from CZ, ensuring licence conditions are met, and customs paperwork is in order
Strong partnership with regional Logistics and Tax teams
Interface with customs offices and export authorities in DE, CZ, and NL as necessary
Build relationships with freight forwarders, bonded warehouse keepers, customs brokers, outside counsel in DE, CZ, and NL
Respond to internal and external requests for information relating to customs and export rules
Align with wider Trade Compliance team on new products, markets, regulations.
Customs Audit support: regulatory framework, internal meetings with local teams involved, collect information, etc.
Manage recordkeeping requirements relating to regional compliance activities
The Person
Experience in Import and Export processes (customs clearances).
Well versed in working on SAP and MS office applications.
Good knowledge: export licence applications in CZ, and in particular Global Licences.
Good knowledge of customs rules relating to customs (bonded) warehousing in CZ.
Experience on contributing to Customs audits, or projects relating to import or export procedures
Good knowledge of freight forwarding and customs brokerage
Fluent in English and Czech preferable
Other languages: Dutch, German.
