About The Team

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, scalability, and resilience of our payments platform. Your technical leadership will drive the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems that handle complex, high-volume payment processing, ensuring robust security, performance, and reliability. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will spearhead initiatives to deliver innovative payment features, elevating the experience for millions of global users

What You’ll Do

• Drive the vision for backend system design, making impactful architectural decisions to meet scalability and performance goals.
• Lead the development of software that solves real-world payments and fintech challenges, impacting a vast customer base worldwide.
• Tackle intricate payment-related computations, demonstrating advanced logical and technical expertise.
• Oversee end-to-end feature delivery, from ideation and design through implementation, deployment, and optimization.
• Proactively identify, propose, and implement strategic enhancements to the platform's architecture and infrastructure.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in Golang or similar general-purpose, compiled, and statically typed programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including high concurrency environments, transaction management, and isolation levels.
• Scalability and Best Practices:
• Deep understanding of the challenges of managing large-scale, high-volume SaaS platforms.
• Proven ability to produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with industry best practices.
• API Design: Expertise in designing secure, scalable, and well-documented APIs.
• Proactive and Curious: A product-focused mindset, curiosity about emerging technologies, and a proactive, autonomous approach to problem-solving.
