Purpose of Role
The CTO (Ireland) is responsible for ensuring that the technology supporting Trading 212 Ireland and its clients is resilient, scalable, secure, and operated in a way that is commensurate with the business's size and complexity.
The role holder will work closely with both the Irish team and the technology teams across the wider group to deliver their objectives.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide oversight and assurance of the outsourced technology services provided by the other parts of the Trading 212 Group, ensuring that the services delivered to Trading 212 Ireland are robust, scalable, and secure. This will include regularly reporting to the Board of Directors through the governance structure.
● Ensuring Trading 212 Ireland is resilient against failures arising from technology and security failures.
● Maintaining compliance with the requirements of the EBA’s Digital Operational Resilience Regulation, including establishing and maintaining the “register of information”.
● Champion and drive technology changes required to support the effective and efficient operation and delivery of Trading 212 Ireland services to its customers.
● Help define, actively drive, and contribute to the group's technology and information security programmes, including identifying, selecting and managing technology vendors.
● Act as the local point of IT contact, providing day-to-day support to employees of Trading 212 Ireland.
● Liaise with Central Bank of Ireland on any operational resiliency, redundancy or other IT/System related queries.
● Recruit and manage a small team responsible for information security, application, network and desktop support.
Educational requirements
Educated to degree level or similar professional qualification in specific areas of expertise.
● Educated to a degree level in an IT-related subject.
● Previous experience as a Head of IT, Head of Engineering, IT Director, CISO, or CTO.
● Existing or previous PCF-49 title preferable but not essential.
● Previous experience in financial service (MiFID investment firm) industry desirable but not essential.

You will be responsible for collating MI to present at the following Board sub-committee meetings;
