Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE)

We’re looking for a Senior DBRE, focusing on database reliability and modernization. The role involves migrating from SQL Server on EC2 to AWS DynamoDB and RDS, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

This is not just a DBA role—it's a blend of database engineering, cloud infrastructure, and reliability engineering. Most importantly, collaboration is key—they need someone who thrives in a team environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Deep expertise in at least one of: DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• AWS database services experience (RDS, DynamoDB).
• Strong performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring skills.
• Database migrations, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
• Experience with Terraform/CDK for Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid understanding of AWS architecture: IAM, VPC, Security Groups, networking.
• Collaboration-first mindset – active engagement with teams is a must.

Bonus Skills (nice-to-have):

• Knowledge of other databases and when/how to use them.
• Understanding of distributed systems & microservices architecture.
