Job description

Hey there! KodeKloud is a young, fully remote, bootstrapped startup growing fast. We’re an EdTech SaaS company dedicated to transforming the way businesses upskill their teams in DevOps, Cloud Computing, and IT by offering hands-on, practical learning experience. We’re trusted by over 1 million users worldwide, and were #4 on the Straits Times’ List of Fastest Growing Companies in 2024!

As trailblazers in the remote-first workforce, we seamlessly blend work from cozy cafes, sunny beaches, mountain retreats, and vibrant cities or from our company-sponsored home office setups. Our team spans the globe, and we’re all about creating a fun, no-ego environment where everyone can learn, grow, and make an impact.

If you love the idea of rolling up your sleeves, wearing multiple hats, and helping shape how we handle our global payroll and compliance, keep reading!

What You’ll Do

  • Global Payroll Guru: You’ll handle payroll for our international team, ensuring everyone gets paid accurately and on time—no pressure, right?
  • Compliance Hero: Stay on top of local labor laws and regulations (especially in India and Singapore) so we don’t end up with any nasty surprises.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts for our consultants—making sure everything’s airtight.
  • HRMS Management: Keep our HRMS (we use Rippling) tidy and accurate, updating records and making sure the data is always correct.
  • Employee Documentation: Own all employee documentation (from onboarding to offboarding), ensuring everything is up-to-date and compliant.
  • HR Analytics: Dive into data to create insightful reports for the team—think headcount changes, compensation analysis, and other metrics that help us make better decisions.
  • Insurance & Benefits: Own our insurance and benefits renewals, making sure our team is well taken care of.
  • Background Checks: Work with our background verification vendor to make sure we’re hiring the best people around.
  • Asset Management: Track and manage company assets so nothing slips through the cracks.

What We’re Looking For

  • Integrity: You’ll be dealing with sensitive info—doing the right thing is a must.
  • Attention to Detail: Tiny errors can snowball quickly (especially in payroll), so having an eagle eye is crucial.
  • Autonomy & Ownership: We trust you to define best practices, experiment with new processes, and truly own your projects from start to finish.
  • Proactivity: We love teammates who see a potential issue and fix it before it becomes a real problem.
  • Diligence: We’re counting on you to follow through on tasks and ensure everything’s buttoned up.
  • Excel Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Excel (or Google Sheets) is a big plus—think pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, the works.
  • Global Payroll Experience: Prior experience running payroll across different countries would be awesome (bonus points if you’ve done it at a startup).
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years relevant HR Operations experience and prior experience handling HR Operations in at least one start-up (5-10 years old)

Why Join Us

  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere—yes, your couch in pajamas is totally fine.
  • Big Impact: We’re a small team, so your contributions will directly shape our future.
  • Lots of Learning: We’re growing, and so will you—there’s plenty of room to expand your skills and take on new challenges.
  • People & Culture: Expect to be surrounded by a bunch of super passionate and pretty awesome people, and a culture of trust and transparency.
