If you are an experienced Manufacturing Engineering professional seeking a leadership role to shape strategic manufacturing solutions, Emerson offers a dynamic platform for growth. Based in Shanghai, China, this pivotal position requires guiding the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of machining processes. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams to align technical execution with business goals, ensuring robust quality standards, lean production practices, and alignment to global compliance frameworks.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Lead machining technology development, including CNC programming, fixture/jig design, tooling optimization, and operator training to ensure process stability.
  • Oversee pre-pilot and pilot phases for new products, validating machining feasibility, reliability, and seamless production transition.
  • Drive Kaizen projects to reduce costs (e.g., HMC efficiency, hydraulic fixtures), improve quality, and meet KPIs.
  • Resolve complex machining issues and implement balanced quality improvements in daily operations.
  • Champion HSE compliance, equipment utilization, and standardization of machining workflows.
  • Support multi-functional initiatives, including supplier quality audits, customer complaint resolution, and machine selection.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and manage ad-hoc technical projects.

For This Role, You Will Need Crucial Skills/Abilities

  • Technical Mastery: Expertise in CNC programming, CAD/CAM (Solid Edge, Pro/E, UG), and machining simulation.
  • Process Leadership: Proven ability to design fixtures/jigs, optimize tooling, and conduct root-cause analysis.
  • Operational Excellence: Advanced knowledge of Lean methodologies, ISO9001, and ESH standards.
  • Collaboration: Strong multi-functional leadership to align engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Communication: Proficient in English (written/spoken) for global customer engagement.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel regionally and globally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in in mechanical/Steel Material and related.
  • Experience: 5+ years in machining process design, preferably in steel/ related industries.
  • Industry Edge: Familiar with machining/fixtures/Tooling/machining machines, MAZARK, DMG MORI Doosan are prefer.
  • English: Can read and write English
