The Sr Manager Accounting & Controllership, reports to the Collins Associate Director of Cost Accounting, and will be responsible for leading key Manufacturing Accounting and Business processes. This position’s primary responsibilities will be to lead the Standard Cost Process & support the Finance Month End close process, as well as identify and implement opportunities for improvement/automation in all key processes.
This position requires analytical skills, communication skills and an accounting background. Required to work well in a team environment, be a self-starter and have the ability multi-task. This opportunity provides exposure to multiple areas of Collins organization.
What You Will Do:
Lead Daily & Annual Standard Cost Process to support Internal Customers
Lead Financial Month End Closeout process
Controls Requirements–Controls Assessments, Customer Owned Inventory, Maintaining/updating intercompany transfer prices, SAP rates, Acct Recs, etc.
Determine & Implement Process Improvements to improve efficiency/quality of processes
Must be willing and able travel up to 5% of the time
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
5+ years finance experience from the manufacturing industry
3+ years experience with Microsoft Word and Excel ((V-LOOKUP, Pivot Table, formulas, etc)
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with SAP
Microsoft Access and/or other Business Reporting Tools (Advance Excel skills, BW, BEX, etc)
Prior leadership experience
Experience with Analyzing Work Orders
Experience with Variance & O/H analysis
