Mr. Cooper is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Structured Finance to join our dynamic Portfolio Transactions team. This role will be instrumental in the execution and management of complex RMBS transactions, contributing directly to the company's strategic financial objectives. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Portfolio Transactions, the VP will be responsible for leading the execution of securitizations, effectively building out the company’s securitization capabilities, as well as providing in-depth market analysis and risk management expertise. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-paced and evolving industry, leveraging your expertise to drive significant business impact.

SCOPE / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Securitization Execution: Lead the structuring, modeling, and execution of RMBS transactions, including but not limited to, agency and non-agency securitizations, whole loan sales, and other structured finance products.

  • Investor Relations: Prepare and present detailed transaction materials to investors, rating agencies, and other stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring transparency.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with structured finance transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of transaction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

  • Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and risk management, as well as external partners, to ensure seamless transaction execution. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Portfolio Management: Assist in the ongoing monitoring and management of the company's RMBS portfolio, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.

  • Innovation and Strategy: Contribute to the development of innovative structured finance strategies and products to enhance the company's competitive advantage.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree or JD preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structured finance, specifically within the residential mortgage-backed securitization industry.

  • Deep understanding of mortgage market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.

  • Experience in executive reporting and facilitating business reviews

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Established relationships with underwriters, rating agencies, investors, and other industry participants is highly desirable.
