Position: Regulatory Affairs/BD - APAC
Position Summary
Eventus is offering an exciting opportunity for a bright and ambitious APAC-based surveillance expert to join our Regulatory Affairs team. You will be our regional expert on trade surveillance, transaction monitoring, and risk management for Asia-Pacific jurisdictions and collaborate closely with both our surveillance experts globally and our local staff.
Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert in regulations across multiple jurisdictions in the APAC region on market abuse, trade surveillance, compliance, and market risk
Become an expert user of the company’s flagship product, Validus, and deliver product presentations to prospects and clients
Develop a deep understanding of our users and their workflows to optimize their surveillance and monitoring capabilities
Assist with initial client implementations by working directly with clients and internal teams to configure surveillance procedures
Partner with internal teams (product, marketing, engineering) to communicate regulatory trends and insights to maximize effectiveness
Advise clients on industry best practices relating to surveillance techniques and methodologies
Participate in trade shows and industry events, network with market participants, and contribute to marketing collateral and thought leadership initiatives
Qualifications
5-7 years of experience working specifically within a Trade Surveillance role from either a sell-side/buy-side firm, regulator, or exchange
Strong knowledge of trade surveillance, market abuse regulations, compliance, and market risk across APAC jurisdictions
Ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse audience, including technical, legal and compliance, and front-office staff at clients, prospects, and internally
Subject matter expertise in equities/futures with experience or interest in digital assets, FX, and/or fixed income
Experience working with technology teams and dynamic software applications
Working knowledge of third-party surveillance systems
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable
