We are seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Service Technician to join our Customer Service team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and technical support of a high-speed parcel letter sorter located at a customer site in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. You will work independently onsite to ensure optimal system performance, respond to customer needs, and keep logistics operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

Your role in our team


  • You will install, maintain, and repair parcel logistics equipment and systems at the customer location.
  • You will provide technical support and guidance to the customer, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
  • You will perform routine preventative maintenance and daily inspections to ensure optimal system operation.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues related to the equipment and supporting software.
  • You will load software, navigate GUIs, and work with Ethernet/IP-based systems.
  • You will document service activities accurately, including maintenance logs and work orders.
  • You will train customer personnel on proper system operation and maintenance.
  • You will maintain compliance with company safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • You will support process improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • You will respond to call-backs in the event of system failures and be available to work major holidays.


Your profile


  • You have an associate’s degree in a technical field such as Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • You bring 5+ years of experience in installation, maintenance, or technical customer support within an industrial or logistics setting.
  • You are skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, including control panels and power distribution systems.
  • You have hands-on experience with VFDs, industrial software interfaces, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • You are confident working both mechanically and electrically with logistics automation systems.
  • You are fluent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfortable navigating GUIs.
  • You are a self-starter who works independently and takes initiative in solving technical issues.
  • You have a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • You are located in the Pittsburgh, PA area or willing to relocate for a full-time onsite role.
  • You are dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This role is based onsite at a customer facility in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with opportunities to support the ongoing success of a critical customer operation. This is a full-time, non-exempt, onsite role. You must be able to work a Wednesday through Sunday schedule, including major holidays, and respond to urgent service needs as required.
