Job description

Field Service Technician – Kongsberg PCS

Location: Ideally based near Springfield, MA

Travel: Up to 90% (within the U.S.)

Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with advanced machinery and supporting customers directly on-site. The ideal candidate will be located near Springfield, Massachusetts, and comfortable with frequent travel across the U.S.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to install, test, and commission Kongsberg cutting equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and provide detailed reports
  • Perform preventative maintenance and support customer service needs as scheduled
  • Train customers on proper machine operation and routine maintenance
  • Support customers in a professional and efficient manner to maintain satisfaction
  • Complete and submit accurate documentation for all service activities
  • Serve as a backup technician for other regions as business needs arise


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or equivalent technical experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in a field service or technical support role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with CAM systems and digital cutting equipment is a plus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively within the U.S.
