Field Service Technician – Kongsberg PCS

Location: Ideally based near Springfield, MA

Travel: Up to 90% (within the U.S.)

Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with advanced machinery and supporting customers directly on-site. The ideal candidate will be located near Springfield, Massachusetts, and comfortable with frequent travel across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

Travel to customer sites to install, test, and commission Kongsberg cutting equipment
Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and provide detailed reports
Perform preventative maintenance and support customer service needs as scheduled
Train customers on proper machine operation and routine maintenance
Support customers in a professional and efficient manner to maintain satisfaction
Complete and submit accurate documentation for all service activities
Serve as a backup technician for other regions as business needs arise

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or equivalent technical experience
1–2 years of experience in a field service or technical support role
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with CAM systems and digital cutting equipment is a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively within the U.S.
