Position Overview 

We’re searching for a Database Administrator to remotely join our team. This role will manage and maintain Postgres and Microsoft SQL Servers and databases to ensure their performance, availability, security, and consistent growth. This role will also contribute to the developlopment and implementation of data standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure best practices.

 

What You’ll Do

• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
• Assist in database design and enhancement for optimal performance
• Ensure database integrity, stability, and system availability
• Maintain database backup and recovery infrastructure
• Understand and implement database security protocols
• Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations
• Provide support and guidance to developers with database needs
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for database design, implementation, and operation
  
  
  

We’re Excited to Learn More About You 

Your experience may include

• 3-5 years of experience as a DBA with Postgres and Microsoft SQL
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is essential
• Strong understanding of database structures, principles, and best practices
• Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines while maintaining focus in an environment with competing demands
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other business units
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
