A Brief Overview

The Director of New Business Onboarding leads the ongoing advancement and delivery of RGA's client transition experience for all Institutional Markets. This position is both internally and externally facing, acting as the main point of contact for a wide range of various stakeholders including client, broker and many internal teams such as legal, compliance, contracts and finance. The Director of New Business Onboarding should possess a client centric approach, balance multiple complex new business transactions, and drive creation of new processes and procedures for evolving markets. The Director of New Business Onboarding will have a team of direct reports to assist in coordination of transition activities and will be looked to as a point of escalation and subject matter expertise.

What You Will Do

  • Establishment and implementation of new business onboarding practices to support all Institutional Marketing products such as Pension Risk Transfer, Stable Value, and additional evolving markets. This will require a fundamental level of knowledge of these products and expected service results in the market.
  • Create a consistent customer experience for our clients while managing a dense range of multiple internal and external TPA service administration solutions.
  • Build a scalable organizational model to ensure proper capacity and skills to meet high growth demands.
  • Establish auditable procedures compliant with relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to are needed to support successful new business onboarding execution, serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Direct oversight of Transition Managers on a day-to-day basis to monitor status, remove barriers and act as primary escalation point. Create meaningful career path and development plans for team members to achieve success.
  • Actively lead discussions and prepare materials for highly important external meetings such as broker and client due diligence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent required
  • Advanced degree(s) preferred
  • 5+ Years management experience required
  • 10+ Years of customer experience required
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate effectively and professionally with Administrators, annuitants, attorneys, regulators, auditors, TPAs or any other source necessary to obtain specific information or explain administrative decisions or handling procedures). required
  • Strong review skills, ability to analyze situations and provide resolution required
  • Strong interpersonal skills (the ability to work with many different people on a variety of subjects) required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
  • Decision making authority is extensive and comprehensive in administrative duties. Position includes extensive latitude and decision making with large administrative actions and litigation potential. required
  • Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines required
  • Strong knowledge of institutional products required
  • Knowledge of relevant legal & regulatory environments required
  • Industry designations preferred (e.g., FLMI, ALMI, ACS). preferred

Compensation Range

$123,500.00 - $184,050.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
