As the B2B Marketing Strategist, Account Based Marketing (ABM), you will manage customized marketing support for our largest dealer group clients to grow adoption of our audience-driven tech and marketing solutions. Reporting into the Senior Manager, ABM, together you will take a targeted approach to creating client-specific campaigns that position our Cars Commerce story in a context most meaningful to the clients’ own business goals. You will create the playbook of marketing campaigns that support lead gen to renewal and upsell for target accounts, and bring those campaigns to life. You’ll drive strategic solutions with sales and product marketing to navigate the full deal cycle from initial client needs analysis through post-sale serving tools - and help figure out how to do so at scale. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage a combination of storytelling, data analysis, marketing campaign management, business development, and strategic thinking to best activate target accounts.
Essential Function:
Partner with sales teams to identify and prioritize high-value accounts lists
Assist in the development of sales proposals, RFPs, and strategic meeting content with a focus on connecting our platform strategy to clients’ needs
Create and test a playbook for marketing tactics and/or campaigns that use paid and organic channels to reach decision makers at target accounts
Build automated solutions for sales and success teams that can widen the team’s impact and scale (QBR guides, Dashboards, etc.)
Use data and insights to integrate compelling storytelling into the broader product marketing strategy and maintain library
Create and maintain solution-selling materials that effectively personalize our existing solution value props to clients with national retail dynamics
Brief Customer Analytics, Revenue Strategy, and other cross-functional teams on opportunities for improved growth and expanded value demonstration to priority accounts
Monitor account health signals, and work with cross-functional teams to support proactive strategies against high cancel risk accounts
Develop sequential messaging strategies that best engage a target clients key decision makers through our own Cars Commerce leaders
Partner with Strategy and Finance teams to monitor public releases and news surrounding priority accounts, and translate those findings into marketing approaches
Support sellers with briefing docs, templates and other resources to enable teams to effectively communicate with clients
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years experience in marketing strategy or account based marketing work, preferably in an agency or enterprise sales setting
Experience in the automotive industry preferred but not required
Proficiency in developing visually compelling client-facing presentations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience and success working between teams
A high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity with the ability to quickly change focus, overcome obstacles, and balance the needs of the moment with longer-term goals
