Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with the in-house billing team and help manage the day-to-day billing and administrative operations, including:

Billing & Insurance Support

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations

  • Submit insurance claims and follow up on unpaid claims

  • Post payments to patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies

  • Review and appeal denied claims

  • Generate billing reports for internal use

  • Ensure compliance with billing and coding regulations

Credentialing & Authorizations

  • Assist with provider credentialing with insurance companies

  • Maintain up-to-date credentialing documentation and timelines

Administrative & Patient Support

  • Manage therapist schedules and coordinate patient appointments

  • Confirm appointments and send reminders

  • Maintain electronic medical records and update patient files

  • Handle appointment rescheduling and maintain waitlists

  • Answer calls and handle patient inquiries (email/phone)

  • Manage referrals and send personalized communications

  • Explain insurance benefits to families and assist with related questions

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare insurance and billing documentation

  • Handle email correspondence and basic reporting

  • Support data entry and invoice generation



Requirements
  • Experience with medical billing and insurance processes

  • Familiarity with pediatric or therapy-based practices a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
