Job Description

We’re seeking a strategic Remote Financial Analyst & Accountant to join our client’s growing healthcare venture at this exciting foundational stage. This hybrid role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with forward-looking financial planning and analysis, making it perfect for someone who enjoys both maintaining financial accuracy and driving strategic decision-making. Working directly with the leadership team, you’ll help guide the company’s financial strategy while establishing robust accounting practices. This position offers excellent potential for increased hours and responsibilities as the business expands.

Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning and analysis initiatives to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for business growth
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and statements
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Create and monitor budgets and cash flow projections
  • Establish accounting procedures aligned with Canadian standards
  • Provide strategic financial insights to leadership team through regular video meetings
  • Help build scalable financial processes for future growth
Requirements
  • Strong background in both accounting and financial analysis, preferably in Canadian setup
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
  • Proven track record in FP&A and strategic financial planning
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong English communication skills for effective video meetings and presentations
  • Understanding of healthcare industry finances preferred
  • Experience working with international accounting standards
  • Comfortable working in Eastern Time Zone (Toronto)
  • Strong internet connection and dedicated home office setup
  • Ability to grow with the company and adapt to changing needs
