Job description

Your Role At A Glance

As the Manager of Strategic Accounts, you will lead a team of Strategic Account Executives, overseeing the management and expansion of relationships with top-tier, global, and enterprise clients. You will be responsible for developing and executing high-level account strategies, ensuring revenue expansion, and positioning Mastercam as a trusted partner in the manufacturing industry. Your leadership will shape customer engagement, influence product direction, and ensure alignment between strategic accounts and Mastercam’s business objectives.

How You’ll Drive Success
Leadership And Strategic Direction
  • Team Leadership: Provide coaching, mentorship, and strategic guidance to a team of Strategic Account Executives to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement high-level strategic account plans to drive revenue growth, enhance client relationships, and mitigate risks across all assigned accounts.
  • Executive Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, ensuring alignment between customer goals and Mastercam’s long-term strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure a unified approach to customer engagement and value delivery.
Revenue Growth And Account Management 
  • SMF BU’s Collaboration: Work closely with other Sandvik SMF Business Units, to position Mastercam as a solution provider being able to cover many aspects of the Manufacturing Process, from CAM to Inspection including Tool Database Management, Verification, Measurement, Swiss Machining, and any other product that are within the SMF portfolio.
  • Revenue Strategy Execution: Oversee and drive the execution of revenue growth strategies, including upsell, cross-sell, and new business acquisition within strategic accounts.
  • ARR Expansion: Ensure consistent growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by driving enterprise adoption of Mastercam’s evolving subscription and consumption-based models.
  • Sales Performance Oversight: Monitor and optimize team sales performance, ensuring sales processes are adhered to and revenue targets are exceeded.
  • Pipeline & Forecasting: Oversee the strategic account sales pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and data-driven decision-making.
Customer Success And Retention
  • Customer Advocacy: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by fostering long-term relationships and ensuring Mastercam delivers exceptional value to strategic accounts.
  • Post-Sales Success: Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding, implementation, and ongoing optimization for enterprise clients.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively address potential risks that could impact revenue retention or account stability.
Market Influence And Business Development
  • Industry Leadership: Represent Mastercam at industry events and strategic meetings, positioning the company as an innovative leader in manufacturing technology.
  • Market Expansion: Identify opportunities to expand Mastercam’s presence in new industries and verticals by leveraging relationships with enterprise clients.
  • Product Influence: Act as a bridge between strategic accounts and product teams, ensuring customer feedback informs future product innovations.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive sales experience within the software or manufacturing industry, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role managing enterprise-level accounts and sales teams.
  • Proven track record of managing a high-performing sales team and driving revenue growth within software or manufacturing industries.
  • Experiencing managing large, global, or multi-national accounts with complex sales cycles.
