What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Engage directly with key stakeholders, a majority will be Internal with some External to better understand actuarial and financial needs from our product offering
- Develop an understanding of our core actuarially competitive product offerings
- Gain familiarity with Arcadia’s data model, data ingestion process, and GA offerings
- Learn how to utilize our APM Benchmarking Tools for CMS programs
- Learn the Analytics team’s reporting tools and DataMart (SQL database, Redshift, Quick Sight BI product)
In 6 months
- Support Contract IQ Client actuarial needs, assigned up to two new clients
- Support Contract IQ product development for Commercial and Medicaid risk types
- Run ad-hoc actuarial analytics for customers with actuarial service hours
- Manage IBNR and Forecasting embedded within customer Contract IQ offering
In 12 months
- Assume an ownership and accountable role in signing off on risk adjustment, benchmarking, and APM readiness
- Enhance our Medical Economics product offering across all customer types
- Support thought leaders in analyzing topics coming out of our Health Care Institute

What You'll Be Doing
  • Product development support; including IBNR builds, forecasting, data screening/underwriting
  • Lead RFP responses and analyses, as they pertain to actuarial and financial needs
  • Enabling customer success in program evaluation, Contract IQ implementation, and actuarial specific needs
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop deeper partnerships and new growth opportunities within the actuarial framework

  • Requirements: education, experience, qualities, and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in related Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of six years of healthcare actuarial experience, with a focus on value based contracting and analytics (Medicare Advantage, MSSP, REACH, Commercial)
  • Within 2 exams of Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
  • Have strong accountability, intellectual curiosity, and a customer satisfaction mindset
  • Experience underwriting and evaluating key financial parameters within value-based contracts for health plan or provider system
  • Experience with database querying (SAS, SQL, Python), Amazon Quick Site or BI Tool equivalent

  • Would Love For You To Have
  • Actuarial Experience with health plan or health system
  • Consulting experience with deadline-driven project management accountability
  • Hands on experience developing and overseeing IBNR estimates
  • Familiarity with broad range of analysis capable from VRDC
  • Expertise in Medicare FFS risk analysis (HCC, MSSP, ACO Reach, ACO Flex, bundled payment models)
