Role Overview:
The Manager of Asset & IT Service Management is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of IT assets and ensuring the efficient delivery of IT services. This role involves strategic planning, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets, as well as managing IT service delivery to support business operations and drive continuous improvement.
Accountabilities:
Responsibilities / Outcomes Expected:
- IT Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring optimal utilization and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Service Delivery Management: Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of IT services, aligning with business needs and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Vendor and Contract Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service agreements.
- Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage the IT asset and service management budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial efficiency.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and manage risks associated with IT assets and services.
Key deliverables:
- Comprehensive IT Asset Inventory: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Service Performance Reports: Regularly produce and present reports on IT service performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Cost Optimization Plan: Develop and implement a plan to optimize IT asset and service costs, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements
Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies for IT asset and service management, aligning with business goals and adapting to changing market conditions.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IT asset management and IT service management frameworks, tools, and best practices, ensuring effective management of IT resources.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT asset management, IT service management, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry is preferred
