Shutterfly, Inc. is seeking a promotion planner who can design and deliver a clear promotional strategy that optimizes the performance of its consumer business and supports the achievement of the financial and customer goals.

Reporting to the Director of Pricing and Promotions this role will manage the weekly promotional planning for the Shutterfly Brand – site wide and marketing channel offers.   In this role, you will provide expertise, vision, and leadership to define and implement a promotion strategy that successfully enhances financial outcomes, while driving an exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Do Here: 
  • Design competitive promotion recommendations as it relates to the business’ overall competitive positioning 
  • Partner with the analytic teams to understand in-season pricing and promo sales and margin optimization 
  • Design and recommend KPIs that measure and drive pricing and promotional performance against the strategic vision for the Shutterfly consumer business 
  • Liaise with Finance & Growth Analytics leaders and experts to ensure clear measurement and bridge to financial KPIs  
  • Liaise with Category Managers and Merchandise Planning leaders on sales forecasting and category delivery 
  • Advise cross-functional stakeholders how pricing and promotion integrates with end-to-end customer journey and experience through promotion messaging and priortization  
  • Provide thought leadership for aligning pricing and promotional approach with federal and state regulatory compliance  
  • Track and codify year-over-year plan changes, realized impact, and key learnings 
  • Provide recommendations for alternatives to marketing channel exclusive offers and personalized promotions
 
The Skills You’ll Bring: 
  • 4+ years of demonstrated leadership experience – managing pricing, promotions analytics and implementing a variety of large and small-scale optimization initiatives 
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking. 
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, ability to manage significant budgets and drive a disciplined approach to measuring ROI of promotion investments.  
  • Experience in retail ecommerce multi-category business  
  • Experience in working with analytics teams on measurement, reporting and testing.  
  • Comfortable interacting with executive management across a broad range of marketing and business topics.  
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives in a company experiencing significant growth.  
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience required. 
The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed and may not be applicable to other locations.
 
Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$106,000 - $128,000]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
