We are looking for an experienced LiveOps Game Designer to lead the design and optimization of in-game events and player experiences for mobile free-to-play titles. This role combines creative vision with data-driven decision-making to improve player engagement, retention, and monetization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, and optimize LiveOps events and activities for mobile free-to-play games.
  • Work closely with the client, analytics, design, and support teams to continuously improve events based on player data and feedback.
  • Improve the FTUE (First Time User Experience) to enhance early player retention and long-term engagement.
  • Monitor and enhance key game metrics, including retention, session length, monetization, and player satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about current market trends, competitor strategies, and industry innovations to drive new ideas.
  • Support post-launch game growth with high-impact, data-driven LiveOps strategies.
  • Document and communicate LiveOps strategies, structures, and event specs clearly across departments.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in game development, with 3+ years focused specifically on game design of LiveOps for free-to-play mobile games.
  • Strong understanding of the free-to-play business model, including monetization and player lifecycle strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, executing, and optimizing live events and in-game activities.
  • Solid grasp of game KPIs (retention, ARPU, ARPPU, DAU/MAU, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with a strong creative instinct for player motivation and engagement.
  • Very good communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with design, product, engineering, and support teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of mobile gaming trends, standards, and best practices.
  • Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
