About the Role
The Associate Director of Sales - Promoted Brands & Biosimilars will coordinate and manage a team of Key Account Managers/Healthcare Partnership Managers who will lead on engagement with health care professionals, pharmacists, payors, and other relevant key stakeholders in the assigned territory.
This role is accountable for Advanz sales at national level for the Specialty, Hospital (including Biosimilars) and other teams as agreed and they will lead on promotional activities as well as brand positioning, communication of the clinical and economic benefits of the product, building relationships, educating staff, and identifying new opportunities for commercial and Local access growth. They will ensure team alignment with brand strategy in connection with the marketing team.
They will ensure that the customer facing team fully embrace strong collaboration with other relevant functions as key success factors to achieve the goal. The role will be an integral part of the commercial planning team for all launches.
Key responsibilities:
• Manages a team of KAMs/HPMs in defined geographic area to ensure they achieve the agreed KPIs & performance.
• Coordinate the development & execution of territory business plans, activity and call plan based on defined sales cycles to ensure coverage of relevant targeted health care professionals, payors, and other identified stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations on customer strategies, Aggregate and feedback to LT relevant information coming from the field.
• Coordinates market sales analysis data interpretation for region. Directs planning and promotional activities within area of geographic (or therapeutic) responsibility.
• Plans forecasts, manages operating budgets, and monitors expenses with relevant P&L responsibility.
• Work with Market Access to plan, implement and monitor regional budgets and to communicate opportunities and challenges.
• Review all channels, including omnichannel and digital to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs and effectively use and embed a blend of multi-channel tools to support customer engagement, disease understanding and brand awareness - to achieve agreed KPIs and performance.
• Review and evaluate CRM system report for assigned team.
• Analyse, define and own sponsorship of Regional and Local multi-sponsor congresses.
• Ensure that all activities comply with regulatory agencies, public policies/guidelines, and with corporate policies and procedures.
• Consult with Sales Force Effectiveness to align, adopt and contribute to shape sales activities.
People Management:
• Build team & when, necessary, support and develop a highly collaborative environment.
• Identify areas of development of managed resources and timely flag potential hurdles as well as opportunities for growth
• Encourage and support the development of skills required to be successful in the field of clinical & commercial engagement with the NHS & other key stakeholders.
• Keep motivating his/her team through innovative approaches.

Qualifications:
- Life Science Degree or higher post-graduate qualification
Experience & Competences
- Significant pharmaceutical / biotech industry commercial experience
- Excellent analytical skills and able to identify and understand moderately complex issues and problems, and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to Marketing and wider organisation
- People Manager roles preferably in pharmaceuticals and/or in broad territories (i.e. Regional Sales Manager)
- Proven history of exceeding goal targets in former roles
- Ability to learn, understand, translate into simple messages, and clearly communicate complex technical information
- Responsible and accountable for his/her own work, and will share collective responsibilities with others
- Demonstrate high level communication and people skills –Confident, mature and a flexible individual, (s)he will demonstrate an ability to adapt to diverse cultures, situations and personalities and build long-term relationships
- Knowledge of and experience with computer / IPAD and reporting tools (e.g. Concur, CRM)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Learning agility and ‘scalability’ to take on increasing responsibility as Intercept grows
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven, demonstrable experience in Rx commercial environment
- Demonstrable effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- High competence in project and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

- Proactive approach to problem solving
