Job description

General Description:

The team of Project Management will be responsible for managing DSDI’s data and digital product development with focus on the long-term success and ensure the project’s goals match the GSDS and company’s vision and mission.

The PM members will work with director of PM to manage a mix of interrelated, dependent, and connected products and projects within DSDI. The PM group is responsible for closely follow up portfolio/program-level key progress, proactively identify major pain points and recommend portfolio optimization proposal to DSDI leadership team, followed by actions led by the PM member via cross-program/function joint efforts. 

  • Lead and/or mentor the PM team for DSDI across product and project lifecycle, foster a culture of accountability and innovation

  • Establish and follow clear processes for digital product development, cross-functional plan and communication

  • Lead process improvement in project development and optimize team efficiency, quality and performance

  • Collaborate with teams to deliver on commitments to the organization and to patients

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Plan and execute projects in accordance with the data strategy

  • Establish and implement KPIs, success criteria, and reporting framework to monitor project health

  • Facilitate alignment with key stakeholders and ensure communication across project and product teams

  • Develop, validate, and maintain project schedules within the enterprise project system

  • Plan, track, and manage project milestones, dependencies, and critical path

  • Lead and facilitate team planning sessions: develop team charter, define project scope, and ensure cross-functional alignment

  • Provide coaching on best practices, tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, PowerBI), and stakeholder management

  • Chair the leadership to review and recommend proposals from cross-functional teams and product managers to support sustainable growth of data and digital products

  • Manage process for project budget governance and oversight within DSDI, including contracts with vendors and third-party service providers

  • Liaise with internal and external collaborators to deliver high quality work product, presentations, etc.

  • Provide internal project management support to core and sub teams, as necessary

  • Coordinate team meeting schedules, prepare agendas and minutes, track action items and progress reports according to project management best practices

  • Assume additional responsibilities and leadership that are commensurate with experience and expertise such as independently providing alliance management for drug development partners, independently leading oversight steering committees

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

  •  Lead and/or mentor project management team

Minimum Requirements-Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10 + years’ experience in clinical and drug development in the biotech/pharmaceutical or technology industry

OR

  • Master’s Degree or above with 7 + years’ experience in clinical and drug development in the biotech/pharmaceutical or technology industry

Other Qualifications:   

  • Understanding of data collection, programming, and analysis

  • Excellent experience working in cross-functional team-oriented environments

  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure, software development or digital transformation projects

  • Ability to effectively manage conflicts and negotiations, and influence outcomes without direct authority

  • Thorough knowledge of software development process and familiar with project and program management

  • Understanding of ICH and regulatory environment as it pertains to Statistics and Data Science preferred

  • Working knowledge of one or more EDC systems, SAS and R preferred

  • Self-motivated

  • Proven ability to execute and perform autonomously in a fast-paced environment

  • Fluent in written and verbal English

  • PMP certification a plus

Salary Range: $173,500.00 - $233,500.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
