Job description

Job Title: Copado Release Manager
Location: Virtual

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Copado Release Manager to oversee the release management strategy and execution across 8 complex enterprise Salesforce environments. In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of 11+ release engineers, ensuring smooth, timely, and secure deployments using the Copado platform. You will coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to support release readiness, maintain governance standards, and drive continuous process improvement. This position requires strong communication skills and flexibility in working hours to support dynamic business needs across different time zones.

 

Key Responsibilities:


Release Management Leadership:
Lead and coordinate all aspects of release management, including planning, scheduling, and controlling software builds across multiple Salesforce orgs using Copado.


Environment Strategy & Oversight:
Own the overall environment strategy, ensuring alignment and synchronization across 8 Salesforce environments. Maintain integrity, consistency, and stability throughout the development lifecycle.


Team Management:
Manage, mentor, and provide day-to-day direction to a team of 11+ release engineers. Foster a collaborative team environment focused on quality and accountability.


Copado Platform Expertise:
Leverage Copado’s full suite of features to drive CI/CD best practices, automate deployments, and manage user stories, commits, and pipelines effectively.


Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear and timely communication of release activities, risks, and dependencies.


Governance & Process Improvement:
Develop and enforce release policies, governance, and controls. Continuously identify areas of improvement in release processes, automation, and tooling.


Flexible Collaboration:
Work flexible hours to accommodate cross-time-zone collaboration and deployment windows, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

 

Qualifications:


Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce release management or DevOps, including 2+ years using the Copado platform.
  • Proven experience managing multiple Salesforce environments and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills & Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce release lifecycle and DevOps best practices.
  • Proficiency with Copado features such as Pipelines, User Stories, Back Promotions, and Compliance Hub.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git-based repositories.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in regulated environments or industries with strict compliance requirements.

Certifications:

  • Required: Copado Fundamentals I 
  • Preferred: Copado Fundaments II, Copado Developer, Copado Administrator
  • Preferred: Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Administrator)
