Job description

This is a remote position.


Schedule:

  • Full-time, 8am- 5pm Pacific Time

Role Overview:
This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for both corporate and project-level accounting. The focus will be on single-family residential (for rent) developments, with an opportunity for growth into an Accounting Manager position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end financial packages for both project and corporate accounting

  • Manage and update project budgets, including tracking all revisions in Job Cost

  • Support Accounts Payable and Loan Draw processes

  • Maintain compliance worksheets for partnership, loan, and management agreements

  • Ensure timely submission of all tax payments (state, federal, and property)

  • Deliver accurate financial insights to support decision-making and project control

  • Identify and implement process improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance or Economics also acceptable)

  • CPA preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate accounting, ideally within homebuilding

  • Familiarity with accounting for multiple investors and lenders

  • Strong knowledge in General Ledger, Job Costing, and Payables

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving business environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills
